Many of us see various Facebook quizzes daily as we scroll through our timelines. These seemingly innocent and fun quizzes are a hotbed for fraudsters to access information about us and use it to break into our bank accounts.
These quizzes always seem to have been shared by the same friends. It just takes one of these quizzes to be scammed so perhaps we should be sharing this article with friends such as 'Sarah Brown' from our secondary school.
Facebook and other social media sites are awash with seemingly harmless quizzes that promise to reveal your unicorn name or give you a spooky Halloween moniker, based on your answers to a series of questions. But by taking part and sharing your results, you could be handing hackers all the information they need to empty your bank account. Worse still, if you share the quiz with friends and family and invite them to complete it, you could be putting them at risk, too.
