Criminals are using any opportunity to exploit our wealth and becoming more brazen with it.
This fraudster was only caught out by luck when someone spotted their family home had been put up for sale. It appears all too easy for fraudsters to steal identities. Sadly there is no mention if the stolen pension of £90k was recovered.
When money is lost from a scam jail isn't the only outcome. In some cases recoveries can be made for the victims.

As always prevention is key and I will now be checking online house sales in my road just in case.....
A FRAUDSTER who plundered a couple’s £90,000 pension in a stolen identity scam after intercepting their mail has been jailed. Saeed Ghani, 30, also stole post from a millionaire and tried to sell his home, worth £500,000, after he transferred the deeds of the property into his name. The latter plot was only foiled when the homeowner’s daughter noticed the address was advertised for sale on a property website and alerted police.
