Hina Patel

Associate Director at Grant Thornton UK

London, United Kingdom

About Me

As an Insolvency Practitioner working on complex UK and international insolvency, fraud and forensic investigations, I also work on onsite in hostile or sensitive situations to assist with cross-border litigation, internal and external investigations and exit situations.

Recent assignments include

  • Working in the Middle East for over five years on what is reported as the largest alleged fraud in that area.
  • Solely managing a wholesale bank in Administration conducting forensic international investigations and all aspects of day to day management of the Bank and its staff.
  • Setting up the Property Insolvency Team and joint leading the London Team.

Recently, I took a career break to volunteer and travel south east Asia and having found myself in Nepal during a 7.9 Richter scale earthquake I was fortunate to be able to assist in arranging the first emergency and medical supplies to the epicentre, solely negotiating triage with the army and assisting with collating information for a needs assessment report.
