Whilst advice is to never reveal your security details it will be interesting to see the outcome of the review by the Payment Systems Regulator. As scammers find new and more ingenious ways to part victims with their money better protections must keep up.
The consumer group Which? has argued that banks do not do enough to stop the fraud because they are not liable to refund the victims. Rules on whether banks should be made to refund such customers are being reviewed by the Payment Systems Regulator following a "supercomplaint" by the group.
