The FCA provides a warning to break off all contact with a firm or individual you suspect may be trying to scam you.

When you have lost money to a company in liquidation always revert to the Liquidator that you know to be true should you be approached to pay an upfront fee or tax to release your 'found' investment.

Ask yourself how the caller has your details? - Probably traded on the dark web.

Why would they not apply set off?

Why does the Liquidator not know about these found investments?

Be scam aware. Grant Thornton provides further advice and case examples.
